Rub butter into the Barkat Flour Mix,
until the mix resembles fine breadcrumbs.
Mix in cheese and
cayenne pepper.
Mix in the egg.
Add enough water, to form a stiff dough.
Turn the dough onto a lightly dusted
board and knead until the dough becomes pliable.
Roll out the pastry to a thickness of a
¼ inch.
Cut pastry into½ inch strips.
Twist
each strip and place onto a greased baking tray.
Brush with egg or water and sprinkle
grated cheese over the straws.
Finish off with a sprinkling of Cayenne
Pepper.
Bake for 15mins at 200c/400f.
Allow to cool and transfer to a cooling
rack.
